“I left INESC Porto in 2004 to get to know the business world. In my first adventure outside of the institute, I continued working as an analyst/programmer as I had done in projects at INESC Porto.  When working for MAISIS Si in Aveiro an opportunity arose to work as a consultant for PT Inovação (PTIN). INESC Porto has always maintained strong links with this company, which is part of the Portugal Telecom group.

So I started working at PT Inovação and I took on the challenge of working as a team leader in the development and management of software projects for the application, management, setup and supply (B/OSS) of smart grids. Over the last four years I have been building on my experience in project management in telecommunications. I been involved in the various stages from the launch of new products and services, hardware installation for high availability services to integrating new systems and networks for international telecommunications operators Méditelecom (Morocco), Cape Verde Telecom, Mascom Wireless (Botswana), etc… Fortunately, I still work with people from different countries and cultures and I am able to continuously learn with them.”
