“Straight after leaving INESC Porto in January 2004, I joined Siemens Information & Communications in their offices in Freixeiro. This collaboration lasted 8 years until December 2011.

At Siemens I mostly worked in Operations Support Systems in software systems for telecommunications network performance management. Our main clients were communications operators worldwide that used our products to monitor and manage their fixed or mobile networks. I worked as a software developer and later took on tasks in telecommunications engineering for UMTS. Then came my first jobs as project manager, I was put in charge of the development of versions of one of our main products.      

In 2007 Siemens IC merged with Nokia Networks to form Nokia Siemens Networks, this led to the development of a new series of products. Therefore, in 2008 as a programme manager I had the opportunity to work with a truly international team with people all over Europe and India.”
