New Portuguese app allows you to create music on your iPad
The new app is already available at the AppStore
The secret behind the GimmeDaBlues app is “musical intelligence” which controls technical aspects, such as combining musical notes. The user will be in charge of all creative aspects, such as rhythm, melody and harmony. This means that GimmeDaBlues does not behave like the traditional virtual music instruments because the result is always viable and natural in the context of the Blues genre. This app established a new paradigm within musical apps for smartphones as the end result no longer depends on the user’s musical talent/knowledge.
Designed for the different iOS devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad), the GimmeDaBlues is now available at Apple’s AppStore for less than three Euros. In Portugal, this project developed by INESC TEC has already won 1st place in the “Multimedia Contents and Applications” category of the ZON Creativity in Multimedia Award in 2011.
