INESC TEC researchers help create company specialising in information and advertising
As lecturers of the Master in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship (MIETE) of the Faculties of Engineering and Economics of the University of Porto, Alexandra Xavier, Manuel Oliveira and João José Pinto Ferreira, researchers at INESC TEC’s Innovation and Technology Transfer Unit (UITT), have supported the creation of the company Publiport-Marketing e Publicidade, Lda.
Publiport was created following the master’s project “Portal da Publicidade” (advertising portal), developed by students Bruno Silva and Rui Vieira, and is now taking its first steps. The company operates in the areas of online information, advertising, sponsorship, dissemination of advertising material, market research, and advertising by mail, among others.
By creating the Portal de Publicidade, the company wants to gain a dynamic position in the Portuguese business and commercial market, and become a reference in the advertising sector.
