INESC TEC researcher publishes book
João Pedro Pedroso, a researcher at INESC TEC’s Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit (UESP) and a professor at the Department of Computer Science (DCC) of the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (FCUP), has recently published a book together with Mikio Kubo (former invited researcher at UESP), Abdur Rais (former researcher UESP) and Masakazu Muramatsu (professor at the University of Electro-Communications, Japan).
Entitled Mathematical Optimization: Solving Problems using Gurobi and Python, the aim with this book is to provide updated information on the Gurobi optimiser to professionals working in the mathematical optimisation area. Providing a careful selection of optimisation models for a wide range of applications, and Gurobi codes to solve problems, this book is a reference guide on the optimiser.
The book was originally published in Japanese and is already available at Amazon. An English version is now being prepared and will be soon available online
