Promoted by the University of Porto, this initiative will be dedicated to the “body”. Here, reserachers will be presenting research and technological innovation project results, illustrating areas such as “repairing and replacing the body” (regenerative medicine, biomaterials, biomodelling), “the mechanical body” (robotics and automation), “body movement” (biomechanics) or “body monitoring” (biosensors).
The aim of the European Researchers’ Night 2012 is to bring the general public closer to the scientific community. This is an opportunity for the most curious people to get to know the advanced and innovative work that different institutes are carrying out, and also to promote the dialogue with the researchers who are working on these projects.
There will be several activities occurring simultaneously to promote interaction with the visitors. These include sports activities and other activities that will allow visitors to acquire information on their body movements.
